We are excited to announce the addition of our new Executive Director, Cara Anderson-Ahrens, to the Northshore Schools Foundation team! Cara brings 10+ yearsโ€ฏnonprofit leadership experience, most recently serving as the Executive Director for the Fauntleroy Community Service Agency. The FCSA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making the historic Fauntleroy Community Schoolhouse a vibrant community center while also operating the Fauntleroy Children’s Center, a nationally accredited nonprofit early learning center.โ€ฏCara has held multiple leadership and teaching roles in the field of Education from early childhood education to elementary education and even theater.ย 

Cara earned aโ€ฏMasters in Educational Administration and a Masters in Education (Curriculum Development) from Seattle University and a Bachelor of Arts in Theater and a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Indiana University.ย 

Cara lives in Mountlake Terrace with her husband Matt, son Wyatt, and Chihuahua/Terrier mix, Jackie. Her hobbies and interests include cooking, hiking, kayaking and singing.ย  Fun fact: Cara is a singingโ€ฏmember of the Ancora Women’s Choir and a Board Member for the Seattleโ€ฏMen and Women’s Choruses.โ€ฏย
