What is GivingTuesday?
It’s a GREAT THING! It’s “a day that encourages people to do good.” Started in 2012, it is always the next Tuesday after Thanksgiving. Local and national nonprofit organizations celebrate it in multiple ways: fundraisers, events, and encouraging others to be generous!
Get excited: Tuesday Dec. 3rd is GivingTuesday for 2024! Starting in November, check out our social media accounts as we celebrate those who GIVE their time to the Foundation.
Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn for our GivingTuesday features during the month of November.
Millions across the globe participate in GivingTuesday and we want to YOU to celebrate it with us!

Why is it important to give?
We’re proud to have Board members and volunteers who give their time to the Foundation. Additionally, staff members who dedicated their careers and work.
Giving, especially time, is a powerful way to make a meaningful impact with Northshore. It fosters stronger communities, builds connections, and supports our service. Time is invaluable because it demonstrates care, commitment, and empathy. Volunteering can change lives, creating lasting benefits for students, educators, staff, and our partners in Northshore.
