Celebrate Year-End Giving with Us!
As we wrap up 2024, we invite you to make a difference once again with a tax-deductible year-end gift to the Northshore Schools Foundation. Together, let’s pave the way for an even brighter 2025 as we celebrate our 30th anniversary!
Your Impact in 2024:
- Raised $30,000 at the ABBA is All In for Kids fundraiser to benefit Northshore students.
- Funded $60,000 in grants for 40 classrooms.
- Launched the Peer Physics pilot with $15,000 for all Northshore high schools.
- Partnered with 45 businesses and organizations to provide $30,000 in supplies for our Backpacks for Kids drive, helping over 800 students.
- Invested $60,000 to remove barriers like school participation and food insecurity for 300 students and families.
- Donated $10,000 to support McKinney-Vento Homelessness Services for families in need
- Contributed $10,000 to establish the Family Engagement and Resource Center and helped raise $42,000 for summer meals.
- Celebrated Northshore music education and distributed hundreds of free books at local community events.
Let’s build on this momentum and make an even bigger impact in 2025!
Kuddos to Ostroms Drug and Gift in Kenmore
They dedicated two days and sold Giving Bags for $0.99. For every Giving Bag sold, Ostroms donated $5 to the Foundation.
Foundation Board members greeted customers as they shopped for GOOD and informed them about our service work. Thank you Ostroms for your generosity!

Foundation staff and board members supported six community events in December to drive awareness about our service work and connect with YOU!
Gallery of Giving Trees | Catalyst Fine Art Gallery in Kenmore
Thank you to Catalyst Fine Art Gallery, located at The Lodge on St. Edwards Park, for giving the Foundation a holiday tree to drive digital donations and advance our advance visibility within Northshore.
Catalyst Fine Art Gallery’s December Art Walk | In Kenmore
More kuddos to Catalyst Fine Art Gallery for inviting Foundation staff and board members to mix and mingle at their monthly art walk in December. It was great connecting with attendees and networking with other nonprofit organizations.
Bothell’s Tree Lighting | Main Street
Locals and attendees stopped by our table and recieved a fun holiday ornanment during the annual Bothell’s Tree Lighting.
Santa’s Breakfast | At Northshore Middle School
Foundation staff and supporters distrubuted boxes of books for Northshore students and families in need at Northshore Rotary’s annual Santa’s Breakfast.
Family Info Night for LAP/ELD/Title I/Title III
We promoted our services and resources to Northshore families and students during an informative evening.
NSD’s Listen and Learn Sessions
December was NSD’s Family Engagement and Resource Center’s final Listen and Learn session. Being the sponsor, we also supported and attended the in-person discussion sessions to hear from current Northshore parents and guardians.
King County Employee Giving Program (KCEGP)
Do you, or know someone, who works for King County? We’re officially on their Giving Program! That means if you make a monetary donation to the Foundation, they will donate, too.
Did you know: more than $30 million has been donated by King County employees, making this the third largest public sector workplace giving program in the state. Help us get a piece of that donation pie!
Got a computer or laptop to donate? The Bothell Technology Union is calling for your support!
This 100% student-led initiative is all about fostering leadership and community-building skills while making a real impact.
What does the union cover?
- A First Tech Robotics team
- Technology Student Association (Bothell High chapter)
- Bothell High School Computer Science Team
They’re looking for:
- Computers and laptops (10 years old or newer)
- 1080p monitors, keyboards, and mice
- Don’t worry, data wiping is included!
The best part? Your donations benefit Mary’s Place and the Seattle Stand Down.

Giving Tuesday: Thank you for GIVING!
Throughout November, we highlighted why our supporters, staff, and Board memebers give their time and enegry to the Foundation to gear up for Giving Tuesday on December 3rd. We asked people to GIVE in one of five ways: Time, Voice, Money, Skills, and Praise for the day.
We raised a total of $1,545!
Plus, we appreciate how the kindess you have been spreading about our service work. Let’s always GIVE, year-round!
Alert: Beware of Scams Targeting Northshore
We’ve recently been made aware of fraudulent emails and text messages impersonating the Northshore Schools Foundation or its staff and board members, asking for urgent monetary donations, phone calls, or meetings.
Please be cautious if you receive any emails or texts that request:
- Immediate donations to a current campaign or fundraiser
- Your Personally Identifiable Information (PII), such as your credit/debit card or banking details
- Your phone number or email address
- You receive them at an unusual time of day
- It does NOT come from a nsdfoundation.org email address

Visit: Gallery of Giving Trees | Still Going On
The Foundation is lucky to participate in the Gallery of Giving Trees this year!
Catalyst Fine Art Gallery, located inside The Lodge at St. Edward State Park in Kenmore, hosts the Gallery of Giving Trees every holiday season.
What is this event? The Gallery of Giving Trees is an event hosted inside the fine art gallery where you can explore beautifully decorated trees that support a selection of local non profits, stunning decorations, and exceptional artwork by Pacific Northwest artists.
This holiday experience is free and family friendly. Well behaved dogs on leashes are always welcome! The trees will be up until the first of the New Year.
Address: Catalyst Fine Art Gallery islocated inside The Lodge at St. Edward State Park in Kenmore 14477 Juanita Dr NE, Kenmore, WA 98028
Hours: 24hrs since they’re located on a state park. Stop by anytime.
Cost: Free!
Parking: St. Edward State Park requires a Discover Pass. Alternatively, you can purchase a $10 day pass from a self-serve meter in the parking lot. Valet parking at The Lodge is another paid option.
