Host a Supply Drive

What is a Supply Drive?

A supply drive is an organized initiative to gather essential items, most commonly school supplies and digital monetary donations, for Northshore students and families in need. It is important because it mobilizes communities to support vulnerable populations, addresses immediate needs, and fosters a spirit of generosity and social responsibility.

Supply drives are a fantastic way to involve your employees, peers, partners, and friends in causes you care about. They also provide an opportunity to demonstrate your commitment to Northshore and our service work, showcasing your support to both your community and the public.

The Foundation can assist you in organizing and running supply drives, whether through an organization, team, company, or individually. These drives can be open to the public or restricted to employees only and/or specific partners based on your needs.

You can host a supply drive anytime throughout the year. Our biggest is the annual Backpacks for Kids school supply drive, which runs from July to mid-August.

The Northshore Schools Foundation believes all supply drives raise awareness about critical issues and can significantly impact the well-being of Northshore students and families in need.

Supply Drives | Questions, Answered

Who can start a supply drive with you?

Anyone! If you’re new, that’s is great! A long time supporter? Yes, you can!

What materials are included with a supply drive?

You’ll receive our signature red bin to collect physical supplies and a poster to collect digital monetary donations.

What if I work for a remote company or have limited office space?

You can organize an online-only supply drive without the need for a physical red bin. We’ll provide you with a print and/or digital poster you can send to your team and partners.

Additionally, if you have a community space, break room, or small office, we can supply you with print posters to collect monetary digital donations in honor of the drive.

If I host a supply drive, is it open to the public?

It’s up to you! Many retail and customer facing businesses will open their supply drive to the public and be a collection site host. Other small teams and individuals will host private only supply drives to their employees and internal partners.

Do I need to market my supply drive?

We’ll supply you with the needed material to use on your owned marketing channels. We’re here to help and support!
