Bothell, Wash. (March 8, 2021) – It’s been a tradition. Each spring, people who care about public education have gathered at Northshore School Foundation’s All In For Kids event to raise critical funds.
In 2020, the Foundation made the hard decision to cancel the annual event but for 2021, the event will be virtual.
“We’re working to create the experience that the community has come to expect from the Northshore Schools Foundation, now in virtual platform,” said Dyana Berger, chair of the event committee. “Our students need our foundation and community support now more than ever.”
The All In for Kids virtual fundraiser will be from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 8th. This is the signature event for the Northshore Schools Foundation. It has served as the primary means to fund all the grants that the Foundation provides each year. It’s an opportunity to acknowledge community partners and sponsors, introduce people to the important work that is funded by the Foundation, and celebrate the impact that Foundation donors make. Guests will:
Celebrate a transformational year. In 2020, the community helped the Foundation pivot quickly to help those who needed support the most.
Connect with parents, leaders, educators, business owners, and community volunteers who share a commitment to student success.
Commit to helping the Foundation be ready with student support for whatever the future may hold.
Jake Whittenberg, KING 5 News, and Carmin Dalziel, Northshore Schools Foundation Executive Director, will emcee. The event will feature music, stories from students learning through COVID and teachers responding daily to new situations, and a celebration of Dr. Michelle Reid’s selection as National Superintendent of the Year.
This year’s fundraising goal is $275,000. Tickets are $15 with a suggested $150 donation at the event. Funds raised will continue funding vital programs and replenish reserves so the Foundation can be ready for what’s next. MacDonald Miller is this year’s presenting sponsor.
“Everything we do is funded by donations. Sponsors like MacDonald Miller are so important to our continued operation, so we can keep helping students in the ways that are needed most,” said Carmin Dalziel, Executive Director, Northshore Schools Foundation. “We’re deeply grateful for their financial support and for their partnership in the community.”
